about me

I currently work as a policy analyst in the Office of the Chief Medical Health Officer in Vancouver Coastal Health.

I completed my MSc. in neuroscience in the lab of Professor Brian MacVicar at the University of British Columbia. My neuroscience research has investigated the role of glia cells in the healthy and diseased brain. I received my bachelor’s degree in biology at UBC and completed a term as an exchange student in Graduate School for Systemic Neuroscience at Ludwig-Maximilian University in Munich, Germany.

I developed a background in policy and advocacy when I was elected Vice-President of External Relations at the UBC Graduate Student Society and later President of Graduate Student Societies of British Columbia - representing and advocating for 4 graduate schools and 15,000 graduate students across BC to provincial and federal governments.
